Web-based Course Evaluation SystemProject Description: The project will determine the readiness of campus faculty to use a web-based course evaluation system for conducting both mid-course and end-of-course evaluations. The course evaluation system will be designed to be technically integrated with the bSpace campus collaboration and learning environment and sufficiently flexible to serve as the campus's primary means of conducting end-of-course evaluations. The project will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the project team will identify the major concerns and interests of the campus faculty and consult with appropriate executive leaders and campus committees. The project team will also identify the campus policies and state and federal laws with which such a system must comply. In the second phase, the team will determine the functional requirements and technical specifications that will ensure the system is able to achieve its goals. When the second phase of the project is completed, the sponsor, Vice Provost Christina Maslach, will request funding from the central campus to complete the development of the application and support its ongoing operation.
