Retiree Return to Work Initiative
Project Description: The Retiree Return to Work Initiative — Phase II will build a web-based application that will help campus managers identify UC retirees who are looking for part-time, temporary employment. The application will provide an enhancement to the e-Recruit system and will:
Allow
managers to browse the resumes of all retirees as they are posted. The resumes
will remain on the site until the retiree is no longer interested in participating
in the program.
Offer a self-service resource to connect hiring managers with interested
candidates.
Link retirees to resources for upgrading their computer skills, such as
CAL PACT computer-based training (via online tutorials) or self-paced training
(via CD).
In a later phase of the project, the application may be expanded to recruit volunteers and retired academics. In addition, the project team hopes to develop a product that can be shared with other universities.
