Identity Management Planning

Project Description: UC Berkeley, like many other universities, faces and 'identity challenge'. This identity challenge centers on the effective management of digital identities - those that are required to authenticate and authorize students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, library patrons, research and business partners and other affiliates. We are developing an Identity Management strategy to meet this challenge. The first phase of this project will provide a detailed analysis of campus functional needs for Identity Management. Definition of campus roles, policies and governance structure will be fleshed out. The team will development of an RFI to identify technical products to meet the campus' needs.
